WellMama, a nonprofit specializing in education, support and advocacy of maternal mental health in Lane County, is proud to announce our 2019 Perinatal Mental Health Summit!
This training is open, but not limited to nurses: hospital nurses, office practice nurses and public health nurses, doulas, midwives, providers, home visitors, social workers, community health workers, therapists, provider office staff, and anyone seeking a greater knowledge of perinatal mental health!
This year’s Summit will be a full two day conference full of education surrounding perinatal mood & anxiety disorders and working with those who are affected by them including trauma informed care, communications skills, recognition, screening, local resources and networking opportunities.

Keynote Speakers:
Wendy Davis, PhD
Wendy Davis is the Executive Director of Postpartum Support International (PSI) and lives in Portland, OR. She began her career as a psychotherapist in 1987, and started specializing in perinatal mental health after recovering from postpartum depression and anxiety in 1994. She founded Oregon’s first perinatal mental health support organization, Baby Blues Connected in 1994, became a PSI support coordination in 1997, and was hired as the PSI Executive Director in 2009.
Emily Little, PhD
Dr. Emily Little completed her Ph.D. at University of California, San Diego, in developmental psychology. Her research examines maternal-infant health behavior from a cultural and psychological perspective, seeking to understand the nuances of mother-infant interaction as well as the broader societal norms that govern health behavior.
