The Tulalip Tribes Community Health Department will be hosting two FREE trainings held at the Seattle branch of
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), located at 1200 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101

Class size is limited to the first 20 participants, and is open to employees of
tribes within the Northwest Portland Indian Area Health Board service area. Travel
scholarships are available, see registration for details. Lunch will be provided.
For the Community Health Worker
Monday & Tuesday, December 3–4, 2018
Participants will learn about asthma triggers and environmental control,
medications, and assessment and monitoring. Participants who successfully
complete the training and pass the exam will receive a certificate of
completion from the Association of Asthma Educators. This training will be
conducted by a Certified Asthma Educator.
Healthy Homes Assessment
Wednesday, December 5, 2018
Participants will learn from a national Healthy Homes Specialist and Indoor
Air Quality expert on why and how to conduct a healthy homes assessment,
focusing on identification of, and solutions to, common asthma triggers in the
home environment..
